Lotus seeds are good source of protein, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus. On the other hand Soya is known for high protein content- its exceeds than eggs, meat, milk. It also reduces the risk of osteoporosis in menopausal women and also ease other symptoms as it’s a good source of isoflavones.
Today I am going to show you how to make a snack out of them which is not only simple & quick but also tasty & nutritional. It can be stored in an airtight jar for more than 10 days only if you can resist them till then. 😉
Ingredients
2 tbsp oil (1tbsp for soya &1tbsp for lotus seeds)
2 tsp Chilly pwdr (1tsp for soya &1tbsp for lotus seeds)
Salt as per your taste
Lotus seeds – 200 gms
Soya chunks 200 gms
Method
- Mix oil, salt & chilly in a bowl
- Add the lotus seeds/ makhana
- Mix well until every seed is coated with the chilly pwdr mix.
- Repeat the same with soya chunks
- Spread them evenly on the baking tray
- Roast them for 8-10 min at 150 degrees depending on you oven till they turn crispy.
- You can also roast them in a wide pan on the gas till they turn light & crispy.
- Let them cool
- Serve with tea / coffee
